KA Accoyo Calista is a full accoyo female of exceptional pedigree whose sire is the well known El Moustachio and dam is HDF Accoyo Freesia who is out of Felix. Calista has very dense fleece with good coverage, perfect conformation and bite, beautiful head, thick bones and a wonderful disposition. We are so pleased to have her as one of our foundation females and think that she brings alot of genetic potential to our program. Calista was bred to the outstanding sire, Royal Avenger, who is out of Royal Fawn whose lines speak for themselves . She delivered an outstanding beige, female cria on 11/11/08.

Calista's dam is HDF Accoyo Freesia who has a very proud stance, beautiful head, perfect conformation and extraordinary coverage. Her sire is PPeruvian Felix, one of the rare few accoyos to carry the black gene. Felix has produced many champions and high selling alpacas including a black female cria that sold for 100K at the 2006 AOBA Auction. Freesia is also the full sister to Accoyo Goldsmith who is a rare medium fawn color that has won two Get Of Sire awards in 2006.

Calista's sire is the magnificent El Moustachio who lived the first 5 years of his life in Don Julio's plantel herd in Peru. Don Julio admired El Moustachio for his strong characteristics and wonderful temperament. His dense fiber measured 21.5 microns even after being shorn many times. His last shearing in Peru weighed twelve pounds which was more than any other male in the 1995 import. He is heavy boned with perfect conformation. El Moustachio lets the dam's color pass through allowing for color in his offsprings which have ranged from white to dark brown. His genetics will surely add to the quality that we are striving for in our crias.
