The Kids

T

itan Alpacas began as our dream of a mother-daughter-spouse team. With a mutual respect and love for animals, we desired a more peaceful, rural lifestyle. Twenty years of raising purebred horses and breeding Golden Retrievers taught us the importance of breeding top quality genetics. Commuting to downtown offices during this time frame drove a desire for a slower, yet financially sound, way of living. Thus, with alot of thought and planning our alpaca herd was added to our farm. We believe that coming from different backgrounds adds to the strength of doing an effective family business.

Ray & Alison

Alison is a registered nurse, Ray is an IT manager with a large national bank, Louise is a pharmacist and Warren, with a strong electrical/mechanical background, decided to trade stocks following the sale of his own custom trailer sales and repair business. We all share a common goal of wanting a less stressful life and hope to one day leave the "rat race" behind and enjoy the calm and graceful nature of our alpacas full time. The idea of owning an alpaca herd did not occur overnight. It was formulated and planned for three years before our first alpaca was purchased.

The basis for Titan Alpacas is to breed only high quality animals and to produce elite fiber. Our desire for high standards makes the selection process for foundation animals slow and meticulous. We look for fleece that is fine, dense and consistent with as much coverage as possible. Perfect conformation and calm, easy temperaments are required. Our goals include running and maintaining a clean, calm, and healthy environment in order to promote and maintain an exceptional herd. So it is with all of this in mind that we have started our journey.
